Custom Precision Joinery Ltd has a well respected reputation in the design and manufacture
of staircases. Made to measure, each staircase is produced to clients' own specifications
and in the clients' own choices of timber.
|
|
Staircases are supplied in a variety of hardwoods and softwoods with raw materials
only being purchased from an approved supplier list to ensure timbers are from a
renewable source.
|
|
This together with the use of composite materials for treads and risers ensures
minimum waste and maximum stability.
|
|
All staircases are produced traditionally by our skilled craftsmen with many years
experience along with modern CNC machinery, a substantial well equipped joiners
shop and internal storage areas all combine to ensure quality of finished product.
|
|
With the emphasis on space in today’s new houses winder staircases are being specified
more and more and each staircase is designed using CAD technology which also creates
the programme for our CNC machines to ensure accuracy second to none. All staircases
are pre-assembled in the factory to ensure all components are fitting correctly
and identified for ease in site assembly.

As well as the traditional closed tread staircases we also specialise in other styles
such as open tread and cut and bracket design with glass balustrade also becoming
more popular for the customer that wants something different.
|
|
To cut down on assembly and installation time on site we manufacture as much as
possible at the factory.

- Dry fit all newels to carcasses
- Tenon one end of landing return handrail
- Assemble turned newels
- Mortice all landing return newels
- Draw bore all newels on to string tenons
- Assemble and fit bottom step
- Supply flush loose blocks and wedges for site assembly
- Bag all loose components for protection
- Fit all winders (dry assembly)
- Cut all spindles to rake
- Bottom riser extended to be incorporated into floor screed, or cut to size

and moulding to make your old stairs look like new.
